When I used to work at Reunion Tower in downtown Dallas, I was the go-to girl for helping coordinate engagement proposals, which is kind of hilarious since I don't have a romantic bone in my body. It's true! I love capturing weddings and people in love, but romance and all that jazz do not come naturally to me. But helping guys plan and figure out how to best pop the question is something I guess I'm good at!

When it came to Mariana and Nathan's proposal story, Nathan had it all figured out from start to finish, which made my job super easy: show up and take photos. The plan was that Nathan's family wanted to take photos with Mariana to share as holiday cards and after about 20 minutes into the photo-taking, I'd focus on taking photos of just the couple. When we got to a particular area at the Mandalay Canal in Las Colinas (which is where the photos were being taken), Mariana would turn the corner and find her family and friends waiting for her and Nathan kneeling down to ask her that one special question.

And guess what? Everything went according to plan! It was so fun getting to celebrate with these two and their family and friends. Wishing them the most amazing journey ahead as husband and wife!
